Before you go,

Please look behind once more,

And remember all the good times we had,

But when you leave, don’t bang the door,

Lest you need it, when you come to a crossroad.

Before you go,

Remember all the promises we made in the past,

The vows we made, for better, for worse,

Don’t let everything go down to dust,

And also don’t let your anger rule you the more,

Lest you turn back at the corner and curse.

Before you go,

Allow me to hug you one last time,

It is worth to me than a dime,

Maybe it’ll help to soothe a maimed heart,

Maybe it’ll put a full stop instead of a “but”,

To a dying love.
