ETERNAL WAIT
Eyes unsuccessfully scanned The horizons and verticals Of this depressing Planet For missing angelic visions Of you

ETERNAL WAIT

Parched lips

Thirsty throat

Depleted cup

Waiting for ever for

A delightful refill

That fails to pour

And lips that yearn

For a touch of lips

That vanished in a flash

In the creviced ground

Laughter and cheer

Silenced – Emptied – kaput

Instead, a dreadful winter

Crammed into a restless heart

Eyes unsuccessfully scanned

The horizons and verticals

Of this depressing Planet

For missing angelic visions

Of you

Perched on a skeletal tree

And searched and searched

Rummaging ceaselessly

Craving for that refill

Of this cup of drought

That thirsts my throat

And parches my lips
