I’M BACK DARLING, I’M BACK

I’M BACK DARLING, I’M BACK

Light showers and slight breezes

Sent me shivering and drifting

Away from you

Seeking sunshine and warmth

In foreign waters and lands

The grass was green and luscious

On the other side of the stream

And I ran with glee crossing the river

The seas and oceans all in search of better

Livelier and exciting atmosphere

I tried the apples, the oranges,

Tasted the juices and the cream

Of tantalizing villages and cities

Flowing with milk and honey

But the thirstier and hungrier I got

After each and every swallow

Then the tempest came at dusk

Bringing with it a deluge of rain

Floods of dirty sewage and

Raging insomnia painfully struggling

Against the heat and stinking filth

That threatened to suffocate the soul

In the morning – sickly and helpless

I couldn’t stomach it further

Then I remembered the light drizzles

And lovely slight breezes of home

And I missed you… and regretted

Why I left you my darling,

And if you will accept me again,

I’m back my darling, I’m back
