I am Douglas Masinde Mamboleo, an English Literature teacher, currently teaching in Eldoret. I write both English and Swahili poems and short stories and plays. I was born in Bungoma County. My inspiration for writing comes from real life experiences and I derive my inspiration from great writers like Ngugi wa Thiong’o, Chinua Achebe and Ken Walibora Waliaula.
