SO FAR YET SO CLOSE
Though worlds apart, You still mean the world to me, Every minute shared, Is still cherished in my heart, You are so far away from me, Yet so close to my heart.

SO FAR YET SO CLOSE

By Anita W.

At times I wonder,

How do things happen?

Why do they happen anyway?

It all leaves me bewildered,

And can make one go insane.

Life is so unfair to others,

Yet some enjoy it,

They enjoy every bit of it,

And anxiously awaits tomorrow.

So close we were,

So caring we were,

All problems were solved,

Without a hurt for the other.

The sorrows were shared,

Not forgetting the joy,

Always walked hand in hand,

Feeling the closeness of each other.

Now my sunshine is clouded,

For you are no more,

No shoulder to lean on,

No hand to comfort.

I miss your sweet words,

Your sweet voice lingers in my mind,

The songs you sang to me,

The ones I listen to every day.

Why had it to be us?

Why not anyone else?

It came between us,

And we reluctantly gave in.

Every time I think of you,

Sweet memories flood my mind,

I count every minute worth,

Every time I reminisce of our life together.

Though worlds apart,

You still mean the world to me,

Every minute shared,

Is still cherished in my heart,

You are so far away from me,

Yet so close to my heart.

I thank God for you,

And the little time that we shared,

Wish you joy and happiness,

In the land of spirits,

May you Rest in PEACE.
